Brakes
Brake shoes, pads hoses and cables are easily overlooked and need routine maintenance, hoses especially! it's not uncommon for us to see bikes come in that have 40-50 year old brake lines, as old as many of the owners themselves. Cables can be just as bad, over time they stretch, they get sticky inside the sleeve, fray and a variety of other things, shoes and pads are an easily replaced item that should never be overlooked, drum brakes in particular often don't get the attention required as they are out of sight, replace and adjust them at Thumpers, the WHOA is more important than the go!
